Miller, Jr., has resigned his position on the Board of Directors effective August 2, 2002. Mr. Miller co-founded Crown Castle in 1994 and served in a variety of senior executive positions with Crown Castle, including as Chief Executive Officer from November 1996 to August 2001 and Chairman of the Board from May 1999 to May 2002. John P. Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of Crown Castle stated, "We appreciate the significant contributions that Mr. Miller made during the Company's formative stage."
