HOUSTON, April 06, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Crown Castle International Corp. (NYSE:CCI) ("Crown Castle") announced today that Ken Simon, Crown Castle’s General Counsel and Senior Vice President, has been named a member of the Federal Communication Commission’s (“FCC”) newly formed Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee (“BDAC”) and will serve as Chair of a subcommittee focused on providing access to competitive broadband infrastructure.

BDAC’s mission will be to make recommendations for the FCC on how to accelerate the deployment of high-speed Internet access, or broadband, by reducing and removing regulatory barriers to infrastructure investment.
